Since 1997 Assemblage has specialised in high quality residential design. 

We are particularly interested in the shifting relationships between a building and its context: the environment, its neighbours and the local topography.

We aim for the qualities of intimacy and place to be concentrated in our designs and we think of our houses and apartments as a points of attraction for images, memories and dreams.

Peter Chivers has been involved with architectural education for more than ten years and has delivered numerous addresses and lectures including “A Room With A View” at the Royal Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter in October 2007.

Built projects range from small renovations built for under $100 000 to large houses contracted for more than $3 000 000.

Assemblage was included in ABUNDANT, the Australian Exhibition at the 11th Architectural Biennale in Venice in September 2008, and was selected for ‘Abundant Highlights’, at the Object Gallery, Sydney January 2009 and the ‘State of Design’ Festival in Melbourne in July 2009.
